Embodiment

'Embodiment' has been inspired by 21st century environmental issues such as deforestation and pollution. My work emphasises nature as a distorted realm. Drawing upon histories of the late 18th and early 19th century, relating to the Romantic period and the Scientific Revolution, these ‘embodied’ landscapes refer to tension between these two movements, and also express a sense of personal loss.
